There are many ways I imagine I’d spend my free time. When I quit my full-time job, I thought I would be creating content like it was my new job. When the stay-at-home mandates rolled out, I thought I read so many books, learn so many skills. Instead,
I only further enhanced my tv and movie-binging skills.
Now, as the weather gets cooler and I’m preparing to hibernate during the cold and snowy months here in the northeast, I’ve found myself reading again. I won’t jinx myself and try to speak into existence what I think reading more will lead to. I don’t need that pressure. Alternatively, I’m just going to enjoy my time with my books.
That being said, I think it’s time to document my to-be-read list. Because even though I haven’t been reading as much as I would’ve liked with all this alone time, I have been constantly adding to my bookshelf. In fact, I’ve messed up my usually alphabetized bookcase to put all the books I need to read together. These books are in no particular order and I’ll most likely jump around based on my mood. But as you’ll quickly see, I’m a 30-something-year-old still obsessed with the young adult genre.
